Floral glasses for spring and summer

When it comes to floral fashion, an iconic cinematic quote springs to mind: “Florals for spring? Groundbreaking.” This is partly true. Florals for spring and summer aren’t exactly revolutionary. But they’re still a feminine classic we just can’t live without, there’s a reason they come back round every year! From delicate patterns to bold colours — floral fashion can work for just about any style, especially through the warmer months. Why not take a different angle and join the annual trend with your choice of eyewear? Whether that’s floral glasses or floral sunglasses — we’ve got you covered. Read our lookbook for some seasonal inspiration!

Classic floral glasses

At Specsavers, we love a classic. As the saying goes, if it’s not broken, don’t fix it! If you wholeheartedly agree, then check out these frames. The trustworthy square lens and black outer frame make for an everyday frame, however, this is offset with a colourful inner floral motif. The oversized glasses show off the retro lens shape. These floral frames will easily take you through all four seasons. In the summer, pair with a white shirt dress and black sandals for office-appropriate attire.

Open to interpretation

If you’re worried that floral is too spring/summer, and you want your specs for longevity, try a colourful tortoiseshell that could be either-or. These Specsavers frames are a great example. The acetate plastic frame has been crafted in shades of blue, pink and purple for a bright tortoiseshell effect. The colourway could easily be mistaken for a standout floral. Go all out and pair these floral glasses with an adequately unique floral dress, perhaps try a blue to make the frames pop.

Liberty London floral glasses

Classy, floral prints go hand-in-hand with Liberty London. Step into British history with a pair of Liberty floral glasses. The beautiful plum-pink crystal acetate is very on-season, paired with a floral interior and subtle branding. This print is based on traditional Persian designs with exotic fruits, flowers and creatures. Take these beauties on your summer holiday and throw them on with a cream linen co-ord for a classy evening fit.

Get the kids involved

The inclusive range of Liberty London eyewear at Specsavers includes a number of children's frames too. Try a real “mini-me” look with this rounded pair of specs. The floral glasses are adorned with the same ‘Tree of Life Tile’ print. Pair with an orange summer dress for a colourful and positive style.

Cath Kidston's iconic prints

Another household name known for their instantly recognisable floral prints is Cath Kidston, also stocked within Specsavers range. This eyewear style is the perfect spring accessory. A trademark floral print is cleverly stamped onto the round, gold metal lens rims, the same print that adorns the interior of the acetate plastic arms. This frame would look fabulous with a navy jumpsuit and chunky gold jewellery.

Floral sunglasses

We are all hoping that the sunshine makes itself at home through spring and summer. If our wishes come true, then opt for a pair of floral sunglasses for both style and protection. Roxy has nailed it with their oversized round sunglasses. Although more on the tortoiseshell side, this pattern could easily be mistaken for an abstract floral with colourful flecks of purple and pink to complete the design. Throw these on with a pink or purple bikini and crochet cover-up for a pool-to-beach look.

Alternatively, try this stunning pair of sunglasses by Liberty London. The black bow-shaped frame front is reminiscent of European chic paired with a trademark art nouveau archive print — originally created for Liberty in 1897 — on the sunglasses arms. Perfect for a summer day out.
