Blue contact lenses
How to wear blue contact lenses? Opt for vivid blue enhancement contacts if you want to make pale blue eyes more vibrant. Blue generally works with all skin tones and hair colours. Fancy dressing up? With some shimmery blue contact lenses, you can.
Green contact lenses
If you’re thinking about trialling green contact lenses, people with dark hair and olive skin tones could wear green contacts for a piercing stare. Turquoise contacts, on the other hand, work better for fair skin types. Green contacts go with most outfits but avoid bright red as these colours clash.
Grey contact lenses
Despite being light in colour, grey contact lenses are highly distinct and tend to suit most outfits for both day and night. They will make your eyes stand out in a dramatic and memorable way — suitable for both light and dark natural coloured eyes
Hazel contact lenses
Looking to lighten and brighten your brown eyes? Hazel contact lenses will enhance your natural eye colour in a subtle yet eye-catching way. Or if you’re looking to change up your eye colour completely, hazel contacts can give you the opportunity to try a new look whilst remaining natural looking.
Do I need a prescription for my coloured contact lenses?
Our range of prescription coloured contact lenses do require an up-to-date contact lens prescription. However, our coloured contact lenses are also available for cosmetic purposes, ask in store for more information.
All contact lenses supplied within the Republic Of Ireland, including non-prescription lenses, are classed as medical devices, and should only be supplied or supervised by a registered optician. This is to make sure you’re safe to use them and not causing any unnecessary damage to your eyes. So we would always advise against buying lenses without a proper fitting and advice from an expert optician.
Halloween contact lenses
Coloured or fancy-dress contact lenses can be the perfect finishing touch to your costume — but there are things to be wary of when wearing cheap or poor-quality lenses you can find online.
Red contact lenses
Red contact lenses are best suited for fancy dress or cosplay, especially if you are dressing up as a vampire or demon. That said, red contacts paired with dark eye makeup and red hair can look eerily beautiful.
White contact lenses
Like grey contacts, white contacts are very distinctive and strike an instant impression. Some offer extra drama beyond a simple everyday look. If you have dark skin and white-blonde hair, this colour is very effective. Alternatively, white contact lenses are great for Halloween costumes.
Black contact lenses
Black contacts can deepen your eye colour and give you a darker, more dramatic look. Black sclera lenses cover not just the iris, but also the white part of your eye — although you will still be able to see through them. This style of black contact lenses can look pretty scary and aren’t for the faint-hearted but are perfect for fancy dress.
