Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness, providing vital help for them to rebuild their lives and support them out of homelessness for good.
Vision Care for Homeless People works to preserve, protect and promote the eye health of homeless and vulnerable people in the UK in a place where they feel welcome and comfortable.
Big Issue Group brings together their media, investment and service initiatives under a shared mission to create innovative solutions through enterprise and to unlock social and economic opportunity for the 15m people in the UK living in poverty, enabling them to earn, learn and thrive.
Northern Ireland’s leading homeless charity, Simon Community was established in 1971 with a siple mission – to end homelessness for those in need by providing preventative services, temporary accommodation and specialised support services. As well as providing immediate assistance, their aim is also to create long-term solutions the end the cycle of homelessness.
Blind Veterans UK helps vision-impaired ex-Servicemen and women to rebuild their lives after sight loss. They provide rehabilitation, training, practical advice and emotional support to veterans regardless of how or when they lost their sight. They also help blind veterans, some of whom risk being homeless, regain their independence and live the life they choose.
Our stores and support teams gave more than £1.5 million to charities and good causes last year.
Alongside our longstanding support for Glaucoma UK, Blind Veterans UK, the British Citizen Awards, Guide Dogs for the Blind Association and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, we supported numerous local charities, from food banks to hospices and cancer charities to youth sports activities.
Our support for people experiencing homeless to access vital eye and hearing care has continued to grow as we offer more free clinics around the UK.
