Help and frequently asked questions

What is a keratometer?

Answer:

A keratometer is used to measure the curvature of the cornea so that the optician can determine the shape of the contact lens you might need.

Opticians also use it to establish whether any astigmatism you may have is a result of the curvature of the cornea.

By comparing this with your prescription your optician can select the right contact lenses for you.
