Help and frequently asked questions

What are cones?

Answer:

Cones are one of the two types of light-sensitive cells in your retina. The human retina contains 6-7 million of them, and they are essential for acute vision.

There are three types of cones which respond to three different wavelengths of light and enable us to see in colour. Cones function best in bright light.
