I have just received my new hearing aids and some of the sound is tinny and distorted, should I expect this and what can I do to fix it?
Answer:
At first, sounds may appear tinny as you are hearing sounds at a level you haven't heard for some time.
The more you wear your hearing aids, the sooner your brain will adjust and the tinnyness will reduce.
If things continue to sound tinny and/or distorted after wearing the hearing aids continuously for 2 weeks, you can ask the Audiologist to reduce the sharpness to make sounds more comfortable.
We recommend you seek professional advice if you are concerned about your hearing
