Help and frequently asked questions

Can conjunctivitis be treated?

Answer:

Viral conjunctivitis usually gets better without treatment.

Bacterial conjunctivitis will often get better without treatment within a couple of weeks, but it can also be treated with antibiotics.

Allergic conjunctivitis can be treated with anti-allergy medications.

In the vast majority of cases, conjunctivitis is a mild condition which poses no threat to the eye or your vision, but you should not wear contact lenses until the symptoms have completely gone.

Seek urgent medical/optical attention if the symptoms are persistent or get worse.
