Prescription sports goggles
Finbar Conway needed prescription sports goggles for his sport, and visited Specsavers in Mullingar for a bespoke pair. Staff members Karen McDermott, Ciara Morris and Elaine McGovern helped make sure Finbar now has full focus on his Olympic medal,
After he won his floorball qualifying final in April, Finbar set his sights set on Olympic gold and is now taking part in intense training ahead of his journey to Austria. Having previously taken part in badminton and tag rugby, Finbar discovered a hidden talent for floorball, which is one of the newest team sports to join the Special Olympics programme. Finbar credits the support of his wife Ursula, his family, Mullingar Resource Centre as well as the local community in Mullingar for his success to date.
