Specsavers Cork cycling success for Crumlin
The team at Specsavers Cork on Cook Street have once again put their wheels in motion in aid of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin by holding an in-store fundraising static cycle.

On Saturday 20 June, the staff at Specsavers Cork on Cook Street got on their bikes and also held face painting in-store to help raise the final funds needed to commence the refurbishment of a new Ophthalmology Unit in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, following Specsavers pledge to raise €100,000 for the charity.
The store raised a fantastic €1,178 on the day following a year of successful fundraisers in aid of the children’s hospital. The Ophthalmology Unit at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, is one of the busiest departments in the hospital treating and diagnosing up to 10,000 patients each year.
Claire Morrin, store director at Specsavers Cork on Cook Street said ‘We are absolutely thrilled with our achievements to date and working with Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, over the past few months has been wonderful. Our staff have been so enthusiastic and we deeply admire the miraculous work the charity does for children across Ireland. We feel very proud to be supporting the charity through our fundraising efforts. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers for their donations on the day as we couldn’t have done it without their fantastic support.
