Ireland is known for many things, forty shades of green fields, Guinness and well... rain! With this is mind the Specsavers Athlone team decided to visit local hot spots and tourist attractions in Athlone town, giving out Specsavers ponchos.

Buccaneers Rugby

The yellow waterproofs proved extremely popular with fans of the senior Buccaneers rugby match, where everyone who attended got a poncho with their ticket.

Athlone Castle & Viking Boat Tours

Similarly, there were some poncho-loving tourists at Athlone Castle when the team stopped by. And on their last visit of the day to Viking Boat Tours, the team provided owner Mick with a supply of weatherproof protection to keep all his customers dry over the coming months.
