Specsavers Limerick did a fantastic job recruiting entries to Ireland’s Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition this summer.
€640 raised for children's hospital
The two teams across the Crescent Shopping Centre and Cruises Street stores, secured an amazing 640 entries into the glasses fashion competition. With €1 from every entry donated to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, €640 was donated to the charity on their behalf.
Specsavers Limerick team members had their scouting glasses on as they recruited people at Miss Limerick, the Pig in Porter Tag Rugby event, an activity day, as well as plenty of ongoing in-store recruitment.
All scouted out
Speaking about the number of entries submitted, Specsavers Limerick store director Sinead Clohessy said, 'We’re all scouted out here in Limerick and are absolutely delighted to be able to raise such a great amount for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin. I’d like to thank the entire team; they all worked incredibly hard on securing entries over the past number of weeks.”
