Specsavers is delighted to welcome two new directors to its store in the Bridgewater Shopping Centre.
Alana Moore and Paul Hersee (right) along with their team of experienced optometrists and trained customer service staff, are continuing to proudly serve the people of Arklow.
Specsavers first opened its doors in Arklow in September 2007 and has experienced massive growth over the last six years. Today the store employs seven local people.
As Ireland’s number one optician*, Specsavers has all the latest equipment in its testing rooms and is committed to bringing advanced eye test technology to Arklow.
Alana and Paul continually support all staff in developing themselves and their qualifications. The most recent qualification has been gained by the store manager, Lucia Michalkova, who has recently obtained CERT3 qualification.
Caoimhe, the newest member of the team, is a full-time optometry student and hopes to qualify in two years time as an optometrist.
As store director Paul also support members of the wider Specsavers team through coaching and facilitating students throughout their CERT4 and Alana supports pre-reg optometry students.
In addition to being experts in eye health, Specsavers Arklow also specialise in hearcare with an on-site hearing centre managed by highly trained Audiologist.
Joanna is currently enrolled in the Hear Care Assistant (HCA) course and other team members will soon be enrolling in new courses.
