Top blogger to judge local SWOTY competition
Specsavers Drogheda is thrilled to announce top local beauty and fashion blogger Suzanne Winters as the judge of their in store Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition.
Suzie’s Beauty Station
Suzanne developed her love for all things beauty in 2015 after 11 years working as a beauty therapist. As her passion grew Suzanne decided to launch her successful blog, titled Suzie’s Beauty Station. Since then Suzanne has quickly become one of Drogheda’s most well respected make-up artist and lifestyle blogger.
Spectacle Wearer of the Year
Renowned for her strong sense of style, Specsavers Drogheda selected Suzanne as the judge of their local Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition where one stylish specs wearer will be chosen as Louth’s Spectacle Wearer of the Year in July. Since launching the SWOTY campaign in March the Drogheda store has welcomed many male and female entries and is encouraging the people of Louth to enter to be in with a chance of winning a pair of designer frames and a €200 local shopping centre voucher.
Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin
Now in its 21st year, the competition raises valuable funds for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin. For each entry made €1 will be donated to the charity for the development of The Department of Ophthalmology, adding to the €100,000 that Specsavers has already raised for the charity since 2014. Proud specs wearers can enter the competition to be in with a chance of attending the star-studded final in London and winning the coveted title, along with €12,000 in cash, €1,000 worth of specs and an all-expenses trip to global fashion capital, New York.
David McCloskey, store director at Specsavers in Drogheda says: ‘We want men and women of all ages to wear their specs with pride. The Spectacle Wearer of the Year Awards offer the perfect opportunity for glasses wearers in Drogheda to showcase their specs style to the whole country. We look forward to welcoming Suzie in store to pick her favourite local spec wearers.’
