Specsavers Navan and Drogheda were on hand to help out at the Slane Castle 5km Trail Run/Walk in aid of St. Patrick’s National School, Slane. The event which took place earlier this month covered a stunning scenic route, with the castle providing the perfect backdrop.

Support along the way

Specsavers staff from the Navan and Drogheda stores were there every step of the way, handing out Specsavers water bottles to over 200 participants. The family event welcomed runners and walkers of all abilities as the trail led the participants through the forest and along the banks of the River Boyne.

Local community opticians and hearing centre

Store Partner Kerril Hickey comments on their support “We are delighted that the Slane ‘Fun Run’ was such a success. Specsavers Navan has always supported local schools and will continue with this tradition. We are a local community optician and hearing centre supporting local schools, clubs and charities is a key part of our culture”.
