Specsavers Drogheda sponsor Boyne Minis and Boyne Youth Rugby Clubs.

The Mini and Youth divisions of Boyne Rugby Club received a tremendous boost recently when Specsavers Drogheda agreed to be their sponsor for the next three years.

Growing club

At a special function in Shamrock Lodge, Boyne RFC President Derek Farrell outlined the enormous expansion of the club in recent years, which now has almost 500 players ranging in age from six years of age to 19, making Boyne one of the biggest rugby clubs in Leinster.

The Specsavers team in Clondalkin continues its long-standing tradition of supporting the local community in Clondalkin. The store is delighted to announce they are the proud recent sponsors of the Clondalkin Cycling Club.

The store recently sponsored the local cycling club and to celebrate, the staff hosted a presentation and photographs were taken with Sean the Assistant Store Manager and ladies from the cycling club wearing Specsavers branded jerseys.

Specsavers Navan and Drogheda were on hand to help out at the Slane Castle 5km Trail Run/Walk in aid of St. Patrick’s National School, Slane. The event which took place earlier this month covered a stunning scenic route, with the castle providing the perfect backdrop.

Specsavers Opticians and audiologists in Navan are delighted to announce that for a third year running, they will once again be proud sponsors of the Meath Style Awards. The awards seek to celebrate and recognise successful buisnesses in the local area with categories in fashion, hair and beauty, interior design and recognition for most successful new buisnesses. 

As Specsavers Navan hold a prominant role in the health, fashion and consumer scene on Trimgate Street, sponsoring the Meath Style Awards continues to prove an invaluable experience for all involved.

Specsavers Tallaght and Clondalkin opticians, led by Emma Conroy and Lisa Walsh, were delighted to offer continued support to Scoil Mochua, a local school for young people with physical disabilities, as students travelled to Turkey as part of the Comenius International Special Schools Project.

The stores organise regular fundraising for the school and most recently sponsored an international sports day, as well as the purchasing of 60 audio books.

Specsavers Navan proudly sponsored the Boyne Valley Pink Ribbon Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness Month on October 5th.

The opticians and their staff working at Specsavers in Navan teamed up with the Irish Cancer Society on Sunday 5th October to show its support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The store sponsored the Boyne Valley Pink Ribbon Walk which invited both runners and walkers to participate with the aim of raising €100 each for the charity. Registration forms and sponsorship packs were available in store at Specsavers Navan for participants who walked in aid of Action Breast Cancer.
