Specsavers Ireland recently announced its commitment to raise €100,000 over the next year for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin to contribute towards the hospital’s ophthalmology unit.
Committed to cycling
Specsavers Tralee, along with Specsavers stores nationwide, committed to cycling the circumference of Ireland (5,600kms) on Saturday 7th June, with Specsavers Tralee raising over €1,200 for Specsavers’ chosen charity of the year.
There was a fantastic effort made by the entire Specsavers Tralee team, who succeeded in cycling the target of 120km on the day.
Last year, 2,523 children from Co. Kerry attended Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, meaning there were on average 7 admittances each day from the county.
