Specsavers Tallaght surpasses fundraising goal raising almost €3,500
The team at Specsavers Tallaght is thrilled to announce that they have surpassed their 2016 fundraising goal of €3,000, raising almost €3,500 in aid of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.
The store has experienced huge support and wishes to extend a huge “thank you” to the local community for their kindness in making this contribution possible.
The store raised the much-needed funds through an array of in-store activities such as the hugely successful Climb for Crumlin event which took place in store in May. The Department of Ophthalmology
Earlier this year, Specsavers presented Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin with a cheque for €120,000 and announced that it would be extending its commitment to the hospital by pledging to raise an additional €100,000 for the ophthalmology unit. The service provides care to children suffering from common eye conditions, such as squints, which if left untreated can result in sight problems. In addition, the service offers evaluation and treatment of other complex eye conditions such as congenital cataract, congenital glaucoma and visual problems associated with neurological disease.
The team at Specsavers Tallaght will continue their fundraising efforts for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin throughout the year. The store would like to thank the local community for their unwavering support and encourages customers to keep an eye out in store and online for upcoming events.
