Specsavers Santry pedal together to raise over €1,000 for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin

Specsavers Ireland recently announced its commitment to raise €100,000 over the next year for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin to contribute towards the hospital’s ophthalmology unit. 

Committed to cycling

Specsavers Santry, along with Specsavers stores nationwide, committed to cycling the circumference of Ireland (5,600kms) on Saturday 7th June, with Specsavers Santry raising over €1,000 for Specsavers’ chosen charity of the year. Mark O’Neill, a friend of the store, undertook a section of the cycle on the day.

Fantastic effort

There was a fantastic effort made by the entire Specsavers Santry team, who succeeded in cycling the target of 120km on the day.

Co. Dublin

Last year, 43,779 children from Co. Dublin attended Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, meaning there were on average 120 admittances each day.
