Specsavers Limerick is delighted to sponsor an exhibition celebrating the work of the late fashion designer John McNamara, which opened at Limerick's Hunt Museum.

Achievement Award

The newly created John McNamara Achievement Award will launch the collection of the late Limerick designer’s work. It will honour the work of new fashion designers from students attending Limerick School of Art and Design, Limerick College of Further Education and Mallow School of Fashion and Tailoring.

Specsavers Ireland Chairperson and Specsavers Limerick store director Sinead Clohessy comments: ‘As a community optician and hearing centre, supporting local organisations and charities is a key part of our culture, so we are delighted to sponsor the John McNamara Exhibition.

Young talent

'John was a great supporter of young talent, organising the annual International Colleges’ Fashion event in recent years, so we are delighted that Specsavers Limerick can be involved.’

The exhibition in the Hunt is showcasing some of John’s most famous designs.
