The store is celebrating two years in business in town this week and to mark the occasion, they are offering 22% off all glasses and contact lenses from 23rd – 31 October.

PRSI benefit

The team at the store have enjoyed a busy year, in part due to many people taking advantage of the PRSI benefit now supplied by the state (people who have paid PRSI are entitled to a free eye examination and free glasses, including farmers and self-employed).

Thank you

Store owner and Donegal Town resident Eddie Dolan said ‘We are so proud to celebrate two years since opening on 24 October 2016 and have really enjoyed looking after every one of our patients that have come to see us. We have seen a mix of people who have enjoyed the Specsavers service in Letterkenny and Sligo for years, and also people who are joining us for the first time now we have a presence in South Donegal. 2018 in particular has been really busy for us as Donegal Town is growing into a busy centre. The developments of around town and the fantastic jobs news from Abbots this year has given all local retailers a boost’.

Improved technology

The team in Donegal Town have also seen a massive amount of interest in their new Styletto hearing aids which are a game changer in the hearing aid market. Audiologist Martina McNulty has this to say ‘More and more Donegal people are coming to us to try this new technology’. The new Audiopad technology in store means hearing checks are available 6 days a week.
