Store sponsor Clondalkin community festival
The team at Specsavers Clondalkin were thrilled to be a sponsor of the seventh annual Clondalkin Festival. As sponsors of the local festival, staff from the Specsavers store fully immersed themselves in the festivities by dressing up as a mime artist and bringing out the Specsavers Giant Eye.
Clondalkin resident and local celebrity Sean Daly also made a surprise appearance chatting to people about his time on the latest season of RTÉ’s Operation Transformation.
Throughout the festival, staff were on hand issuing leaflets providing free information on the range of products and services available in Specsavers. The store’s team members also handed out branded balloons, ponchos and recyclable bags to all those in attendance.
Clondalkin Village was transformed into a fantastic spectacle with street acts, stilt-walkers, and character performers taking over the streets and provided great entertainment. There was free face-painting and balloon modelling for all the little kids as well.
Sound Check Ireland 2017
To coincide with the launch of Sound Check Ireland 2017 and the local festival, the team at Specsavers Clondalkin also welcomed people on-board their mobile hearing van providing free onsite hearing screenings and professional advice regarding all hearing health.
Speaking about the store’s involvement, Specsavers Clondalkin store director, Emma Conroy commented: 'We were delighted to be a sponsor of the annual Clondalkin Festival and thrilled to have the mobile hearing van on site with the Specsavers team encouraging those over the age of 55 to have their hearing tested.
'Specsavers Clondalkin is a local community optician and hearing centre so supporting local clubs, charities and organisations such as this is a key part of our culture.”
