Specsavers’ mobile hearing van pulls into Tallaght
The Specsavers Hearing Van will be visiting The Square Tallaght on Thursday, 24 - Saturday, 26 November and will be located in the West Car Park, Level 3 (near the bus stops).
Free on-site hearing screenings and professional advice will be available to anyone who is concerned about their hearing.
Sound Check Ireland Roadshow
To celebrate the fifth year of the Specsavers Sound Check Ireland Roadshow, Specsavers announced earlier this year that it would be introducing two mobile hearing vans to travel the length and breadth of the country to raise awareness of the importance of hearing throughout the year.
James Ryan comments
Commenting on the importance of regular hearing tests, Director of Specsavers Tallaght James Ryan said, ‘Untreated hearing loss can impact negatively on all areas of daily life so if you suspect that someone close to you struggles with their hearing, don’t let them suffer in silence and encourage them to seek advice.’
Identify the problem
Untreated hearing loss can affect every aspect of life and can lead to depression and social isolation which is why early diagnosis is essential. Identifying the problem early and addressing hearing loss with an expert can mean preserving the ability to communicate with friends and family well into later life.
Every two years
Regular hearing checks should be part of everyone’s healthcare routine and Specsavers recommends that people over the age of 55 get a hearing test every two years.
