Specsavers Mallow get pedalling to raise over €450 for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin

Specsavers Ireland recently announced its commitment to raise €100,000 over the next year for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin to contribute towards the hospital’s ophthalmology unit.

Committed to cycling

Specsavers Mallow, along with Specsavers stores nationwide, committed to cycling the circumference of Ireland (5,600kms) on Saturday 7th June, with Specsavers Mallow raising over €450 for Specsavers’ chosen charity of the year. Pi Cycles, located at 152 West End in Mallow, generously donated a bicycle to Specsavers for the day.

Fantastic effort

There was a fantastic effort made by the entire Specsavers Mallow team, who succeeded in cycling the target of 120km on the day.

Co. Cork

Last year, 7,056 children from Co. Cork attended Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, meaning there were on average 19 admittances each day.
