Specsavers stores in Clondalkin and Tallaght sponsored a sports tournament in Stewarts Hospital Palmerstown with Scoil Mochua, a local school for children and young people with physical disabilities.
The school, with whom both stores work closely with, hosted visiting schools from Austria, Wales, Cyprus and Turkey. A fantastic day of fun was had by all with Specsavers sponsoring refreshments and t-shirts and Senator Eamon Coughlan stopping in to chat with parents and children.
Specsavers Clondalkin and Tallaght recently provided 60 audio books for children from Scoil Mochua and will continue to work with the school on future projects.
Speaking about the event, Clondalkin Store Director Emma Conroy said ‘We are delighted to be involved with Scoil Mochua and support them in any way we that we can. Our last event with them proved a great success and an enjoyable day all round. We look forward to continuing to support them throughout the remainder of the school year.’
