The opticians and their staff working at Specsavers in Navan teamed up with the Irish Cancer Society on Sunday 5th October to show its support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The store sponsored the Boyne Valley Pink Ribbon Walk which invited both runners and walkers to participate with the aim of raising €100 each for the charity. Registration forms and sponsorship packs were available in store at Specsavers Navan for participants who walked in aid of Action Breast Cancer.
The new 10km route this year started and finished in Kells, and took a circular route around Maudlin, Cherry Hill and the grounds of Headfort House. Since starting in 2008, the Walks have raised almost €1,000,000 for charity.
