KCLR 96FM visits store
On Saturday 30 April, Specsavers Kilkenny welcomed community favourite KCLR 96FM in store. The popular radio station spent the day visiting stores in the local area and stopped by Specsavers in Market Cross Shopping Centre from 10am -12 noon.
KCLR 96FM, which is the area’s number one source for local news, interviewed members of the Specsavers team throughout the morning. The in-store event allowed Specsavers staff to raise awareness of their impressive optical and hearing services available to the people of Kilkenny.
Committed to bringing the latest technological innovations to its customers, Specsavers Kilkenny informed listeners of KCLR about their use of the Fundus Camera for early detection of diseases and Digital Precision Eyecare, a cutting edge new way of selecting and fitting customers’ glasses using imaging software on tablet devices.
The store also highlighted how they specialise in hearing, with an on-site hearing centre overseen by audiologist Dermot Dougan. The hearing centre provides three minute hearing screenings, with no need to book an appointment and no obligation to buy. The screener lets customers know whether they would benefit from having a full hearing test, which takes about one hour.
Team grateful for support
The event was a great success as the store welcomed customers and KCLR listeners throughout the day to enjoy the atmosphere. Store Directors Michelle Carew and Mary O’Donnell would like to thank the local community for their fantastic support on the day and look forward to welcoming customers at their next in-store event!
