A day of family fun in Donegal Town

To celebrate its recent opening, Specsavers Donegal Town is hosting a family fun day for all of its customers on Thursday, 23 February from 12 – 6pm. Local radio station, Ocean FM’s flagship show North West Today, hosted by Niall Delaney will be broadcasting from the store from 9am – 11am and will be giving away prizes.

Fun and festivities

The store is encouraging all customers, young and old, to pop in on Thursday and join in the fun and festivities with balloon modelling and face painting.

Specsavers Donegal offers customers expert advice, unparalleled service and value for money. The team of 11 highly trained healthcare professionals include three optometrists, one dispensing optician, four optical assistants and a lab technician as well as two hearing aid dispensers.

Store Director Eddie Dolan and fellow optometrist Andrea Devins have also completed post graduate training through Cardiff University which has enhanced their skills in dealing with acute eye conditions such as red, irritated or painful eyes and sudden loss of vision.

Furthermore, Specsavers Donegal has all the latest equipment in its testing rooms and is committed to bringing advanced eye test technology to the people of Donegal. Specsavers has invested in sophisticated eye equipment including the fundus camera, a state-of -the-art piece of equipment which can play an important role in the early detection of eye disease.

Cutting edge

Specsavers Donegal is also equipped with a cutting edge new way of selecting and fitting customers’ glasses, using imaging software on tablet devices known as Digital Precision Eyecare. This latest technology ensures that customers at Specsavers Donegal receive only the very best professional care and advice in frame selection and dispensing for their prescription, vision and lifestyle needs.

Hearing services

In addition to being experts in eye health, Specsavers Donegal also offers hearing services, with a dedicated hearing room compete with a soundproof booth to ensure the most accurate results when conducting hearing tests. All hearing tests are free and complete digital hearing aids start from €750. Customers are also given the opportunity to take a three-minute hearing check to assess whether they need a full hearing test.
