Wearing glasses doesn’t mean you have to lose your cool this summer as Specsavers Balbriggan unveils its widest ever range of hot prescription sunglasses.
Starting from €89, the extensive range of 72 sunnies includes styles from Tommy Hilfiger, Cheap Monday, Roxy, Red or Dead and, for the first time, Boss Orange and Osiris and can all be found on the Specsavers 'Wall of Sun'.
The collection will focus on key celebrity trends for summer including classic aviator-style, glamorous statement cat’s eyes and oversized O designs for women and bold, chunky wayfarer-styles for men.
Brian Brodigan, store director said: ‘As with any trend, the key is always to go for the design that first and foremost suits your face shape and secondly, complements your own personal style. Beyond that have some fun! There's lots to choose from here at Specsavers in Balbriggan, you have the freedom to play around with colours and try out new looks.’
Safety is as important as style and over-exposure to sunlight can cause serious damage to the eyes from ultra violet rays. The sun’s rays are intensified by glare, which occurs when light is reflected off shiny surfaces, such as glass.
A sandy beach or calm sea will have the same effect as glass, reinforcing the need for good quality sunglasses protection. and don't forget sun protection for children - often overlooked are sunglasses for kids.
