Specsavers Galway has just raised €2,300 after running a week of fundraising events in aid of ‘Saving Grace’, a local charity set up to help nine-year-old Grace Kenneally who is fighting Neuoroblastoma.

Chemotherapy

Grace, from Tirellan Heights, Galway, is suffering from the rare and aggressive children’s cancer and is currently undergoing her third round of chemotherapy since she was diagnosed with the disease at only five years old.

Treatment expenses

Specsavers Galway held a series of events including a family fun day and kid’s party during the final week of August to raise much needed funds for the charity. The money raised will go towards covering the day to day treatment expenses faced by Grace’s family.

Able to assist

Speaking about the fundraising in aid of Saving Grace, Store Director Noel Meehan said, “We’re delighted to be able to assist Grace and have found the people of Galway to be so generous throughout the week.”
