Specsavers Drogheda and Navan are proud sponsors of local GAA club Mattock Rangers, which recently hosted an array of events in support of its Jailbreak fundraiser. The club which boasts a large clubhouse and a full sized pitch has plans to build a second pitch for training and juveniles with floodlights.

Fundraising

The initiative sees ‘arrested’ club members and supporters host events for the club in order to fund their ‘bail money’. To date, the club has hosted a Poker Classic Night in Matthews Lounge, a Comedy Night with impressionist Rory O’Connor from Meath, a Family Fun Day at the Mattock Rangers’ Clubhouse and a Community Barn Dance at Bellpatrick Barn.

Thank you

Proud sponsors Specsavers have been in attendance at the various events and Earnan Roche of Mattock Rangers CLG said, ‘I would like to thank Specsavers for their ongoing support. We rely heavily on the generosity of sponsors and donations from the public to raise valuable funds for the development of club facilities.’

Local support

Speaking of the sponsorship, Store Partner Kerril Hickey said, ‘As a local community optician and hearing centre, supporting local clubs and charities is a key part of our culture. We are proud sponsors of Mattock Rangers and wish them every success with their fundraising initiatives.’
