Specsavers Drogheda put the wheels in motion to raise over €800 for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin

Specsavers Ireland recently announced its commitment to raise €100,000 over the next year for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin to contribute towards the hospital’s ophthalmology unit. 

Committed to cycling

Specsavers Drogheda, along with Specsavers stores nationwide, committed to cycling the circumference of Ireland (5,600kms) on Saturday 7th June, with Specsavers Drogheda raising over €800 for Specsavers’ chosen charity of the year. Quay Cycles generously donated a bicycle to the store for the day.

Fantastic effort

There was a fantastic effort made by the entire Specsavers Drogheda team, who succeeded in cycling the target of 120km on the day.

Co. Louth

Last year, 3,523 children from Co. Louth attended Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, meaning there were on average 9 admittances each day.
