Droichead Arts Centre’s Silver Screen Programme gets under way in 2015 with Specsavers Hearing Centre, Drogheda delighted to announce their sponsorship of the programme.

Silver Screen Club

Although not all grandparents are the most avid of cinema goers, Droichead Arts Centre’s Silver Screen Club has been attempting to steadily change this over the past few years.

Golden years

The film club is for those in their golden years. Visitors meet at the Droichead one Tuesday in every month at 2pm for a special screening of contemporary and vintage film.

Community initiatives

Speaking about the sponsorship, Specsavers Drogheda Hearing Centre director Jeff Walbran said: “Specsavers have a long history of being involved in community initiatives especially active retirement groups, and are delighted to be associated with the Silver Screen Club at the Droichead Arts Centre.”
