Specsavers Athlone recently held a contact lens fit day at the Golden Island Shopping Centre to educate customers about contact lenses. The team had great fun chatting to the local people and found it to be a huge success.
Athlone staff Caroline Lowry and Maria Kenny provided shoppers with information on the different types of contact lenses available and promoted free contact lens fittings in store.
Store Director, Keith McCallion, said of the day “We decided to give customers the chance to "touch and be amazed" with contact lenses available to feel. It worked really well and within the first hour, seven extra fits had been done, with more secured throughout the day.
There was an extra optician on hand to cover extra appointments, and Specsavers Athlone had a special €10 eyetests offer on the day too, which runs until the end of August.
