Specsavers in Donegal will be raising money for the Donegal Cancer Bus throughout October

The team is proud to announce that over the coming weeks the store will be raising much needed funds for the Donegal Cancer Bus.

Fundraising

Fundraising activities will run throughout the month of October, with the store donating €5 for every eye test conducted. The Donegal Cancer Bus is a community run service, which is operated via The Good and New Cancer Charity.

The service, which is sustained through donations from local people, transports cancer suffers from Donegal to the closet treatment centre, which is over 200km away, in Galway.

Specsavers Dundalk will put their wheels in motion, as they hold a static cycle to raise much needed funds for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin this Saturday, 03 June. The cycle will take place in Market Square, with many local businesses in attendance on the day, providing a host of special offers.

Seeing as summer is now upon us, the Dundalk store will also be offering a discount of €60 on designer sunglasses on the day for all customers to avail of.

Specsavers Limerick was delighted to sponsor the recent Cocktails, Cuisine and Style event in the gorgeous Cornstore Restaurant, Limerick. The restaurant was packed to capacity, with a fabulous evening filled with style and glamour.

All guests were served prosecco on arrival, which was followed by a wonderful meal. As the models took to the catwalk, they showcased the recently launched frame range by Kylie Minogue. A stunning combination of elegance and edginess, the collection features 25 glasses and five prescription sunglasses.

The team at Swords will hold a bake sale in store this Saturday, 27 May to raise much needed funds for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin. The family fun day will begin at 12pm and will run throughout the afternoon.

Staff will bake a host of delicious goodies and invite all customers and passers-by to stop in, say hello, and be part of the activities.

Specsavers Liffey Valley is proud to inform customers that store director Lisa Walsh will travel to Kolkata (formerly Calcutta) with The Hope Foundation alongside team members Mohamed Quershi and Orla Murphy.

Six days in Kolkata

This is the first mission that Specsavers has embarked on with The Hope Foundation and Lisa and the team will be spending six days in Kolkata this November, carrying out eye tests throughout the slums and across several children’s hospitals.

On Saturday 14 May, Specsavers Tallaght’s fundraising activities will reach new heights as staff participate in a static cycle challenge to raise much-needed funds for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.

‘Climb for Crumlin’

As part of the newly launched ‘Climb for Crumlin’ campaign, Specsavers staff member Tony Power will embark on the epic journey of climbing to Mount Everest Base Camp and employees and customers across the country will go the distance both in and out of store in various activities.
