Massive success

Customers were invited to drop into their local Specsavers and show their support by getting involved in the climb or making a donation to the charity. The day was a massive success with the store raising a total of €2,252 for the worthwhile cause.

Having exceeded the initial €100,000 fundraising target, Specsavers Ireland recently presented Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin with a cheque for €120,000 and announced that it would be extending its commitment to the hospital by pledging to raise an additional €100,000.

Mount Everest Base Camp climb

As part of the recently launched ‘Climb for Crumlin’ campaign, Specsavers staff member Tony Power will embark on the epic journey of climbing to Mount Everest Base Camp to help raise the much needed funds for the refurbishment of the new ophthalmology department at the hospital. Specsavers staff across the country will continue stepping up to the challenge with their own in-store fundraising activities in the coming months to ensure they reach their target.
