Specsavers store director Diana Doll presents cheque to Bray Lakers Charity

Specsavers has celebrated a spec-tacular fifth anniversary since opening their doors in Bray, half a decade ago in 2009. Since then they have proudly served over 15,000 customers from Bray and surrounding areas.

In addition to being experts in eye health, Specsavers Bray now also specialises in hearcare with a hearcare clinic taking place every Friday. The clinic is managed by highly trained Audiologist Michael McCornish.

Bray Lakers charity partnership

To celebrate its fifth anniversary, and to thank the local community for their support, Specsavers Bray have raised €1,110 for local charity Bray Lakers. Bray Lakers aim to enable adults and children with disabilities to develop their innate skills, co-ordination and self-esteem through participation in sporting and social activities in an environment which is inclusive and supportive. In addition to this Bray Lakers also look to provide a strong and supportive network for parents, families and friends of people with a disability as a vital resource in overcoming the challenges they inevitably face.

Community support

Specsavers Bray store director Diana Doll was clearly in a celebratory mood: 'We are delighted to be celebrating our store’s fifth birthday and would like to thank everyone for their continued support since we opened our doors in 2009. We look forward to celebrating many more birthdays here in Bray.

As part of the celebrations we are very proud to show our support for local organisation Bray Lakers as the work carried out here is exceptional. I would like to extend our gratitude to staff and customers of Specsavers Bray who have helped us show support to the Bray Lakers over the last year and we will continue to support them in 2014 as all donations big or small make a huge difference.'
