Athlone raises over €750 for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin

Specsavers Ireland recently announced its commitment to raise €100,000 over the next year for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin to contribute towards the hospital’s ophthalmology unit. 

Committed to cycling

Specsavers Athlone, along with Specsavers stores nationwide, committed to cycling the circumference of Ireland (5,600kms) on Friday 11th July, with Specsavers Athlone raising over €750 for Specsavers’ chosen charity of the year. 

Fantastic effort

Athlone Sports Centre kindly donated a bike on the day, and there was a fantastic effort made by the entire Specsavers Athlone team, who succeeded in cycling the target of 120km.

Co. Westmeath

Last year 2,894 children from Co. Westmeath attended Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, meaning there were on average 8 admittances each day from the county.
