Specsavers in Limerick, located on Cruises Street and in Crescent Shopping Centre, is celebrating a spec-tacular anniversary this month as they celebrate their 21st anniversary this year. Specsavers Cruises Street first opened their doors in 1993.
Since opening, store directors Sinead Clohessy, Anne Power and John Harringotn, along with a team of experienced optometrists and trained customer service staff, have proudly served the people of Limerick.
Specsavers Limerick has experienced massive growth over the last twenty one years. In 1993 the Cruises Street store employed just seven members of staff but today employs thirty five staff including ten fully qualified Opticians and four Dispensing Opticians. As a result of customer demand and an expansion to staff, Specsavers opened their second store in Limerick in the Crescent Shopping Centre in 2002.
To date Specsavers currently employs over sixty staff across the two stores. In addition to being experts in eye health, Specsavers Limerick stores also specialise in hearcare with an on-site hearing centre managed by highly trained Audiologist. Specsavers established their first hearing centre at the Specsavers store on Cruises Street in 1997, which has been managed by qualified Audiologist Bryan O’Connor for the past seven years. Specsavers provides a free hearcare screening that involves a simple three minute test. Customers do not need to book an appointment for this test and there is no obligation to buy.
The Specsavers hearing screener provides a way for customers to monitor their hearing and ensure regular hearing tests. Speaking of the store’s milestone occasion, Store Directors Sinead Clohessy, Anne Power and John Harrington commented, “We are delighted to be celebrating our two stores’ success over the last twenty one years and we would like to thank everyone for their support along the way. We have had a fantastic twenty one years with our team and customers and look forward to celebrating many more birthdays here in Limerick”.
As Ireland’s number one optician*, Specsavers has all the latest equipment in its testing rooms and is committed to bringing advanced eye test technology to the people of Limerick. Specsavers has invested in sophisticated eye equipment called the fundus camera, a state-of –the-art piece of equipment which can play an important role in the early detection of eye disease.
