Help and frequently asked questions

I am after a pair of hearing protection plugs for shooting - do you take impressions of the ear?

Protecting your hearing against damage caused by excessively loud noises is very important. Earplugs, earmuffs and canal caps can protect your ears from loud noise by reducing the level of sound reaching your ears.

If you are exposed to noise that cannot be stopped, reduced or avoided, you should use earplugs or earmuffs.

There are many different types of shooting earplugs available, some of which necessitate the taking of impressions of your ears using a soft putty material.

It is possible to have impressions taken at your local Specsavers Audiologists. Make sure you ask the audiologist about our range of hearing protection devices - they may well be better value than the ones you have seen on the internet.
