Cost of corporate eyecare cut across ROI

July 2012

A significant reduction in the cost of employee eyecare across the Republic of Ireland has been announced today by Specsavers Corporate Eyecare.

Specsavers recently launched its voucher schemes in Ireland to enable employers to meet their health and safety obligations for computer users, drivers and those working in hazardous environments. With take-up of the vouchers surpassing expectations, Specsavers Corporate Eyecare has now lowered its prices across its whole range of corporate vouchers.

The new prices per voucher are as follows:

Voucher TypeOld PriceNew Price
VDU Eyecare€25.00€19.00
Safety Eyewear€60.50€44.00
Optical Care€59.00€42.00

Dona McLafferty, corporate account manager for Specsavers Corporate Eyecare in the Republic of Ireland, says: ‘We have lowered our prices to ensure that we remain true to our core company value of offering the best value eyecare to everyone, simply, clearly and consistently.’

Employers who have already taken advantage of Specsavers’ eyecare vouchers are invited to simply return any full, unused booklets of vouchers for a full refund and new vouchers at the reduced price.

Eyecare vouchers can be purchased in advance and then, simply handed out to the relevant employees. They can then be redeemed at any of more than 40 opticians’ stores across the Republic of Ireland, providing an administratively-simple way of ensuring all employer responsibilities are met.
