Written answer: Will intermediate glasses make the TV blurred?
I am 48 and am longsighted (+1.5) with astigmatism (-1.00 & 175 axis), both eyes almost identical prescription. I was tested as needing a +.75 addition for reading. When the glasses came, I couldn’t read without holding the text at over arms length. I was retested as a +1.5 Near Addition. and these glasses are being made up.

My daughter was diagnosed as mildly myopic as a child. She is now in her mid-twenties and her latest (Specsavers) examination shows that she is mildly longsighted. Is this common/normal?

I am a 20 year old male and for the past six months to a year I have been randomly getting blurred vision and feel light headed. It starts off as just a small blur just off where I focus and slowly turns into a ring around my entire focus and then slowly fades away. The light headedness starts after about five minutes after the blur and lasts the rest of the time. Can you help?
Written answer: Blood vessel burst leaving a patch of blood
I had a burst blood vessel in eye eight weeks ago some cleared but left with a patch of blood. It is not moving with slight pain in top of the eye when looking up. I have seen an optician and said eye health was fine but pressures is 23. But have been to hospital and measured with laser pen and said they were ok. This was a year ago since I was referred to the eye clinic. My main concern is why is this blood not clearing?

I’m a contact lens wearer and I wear monthly ones, but recently I’ve been experiencing some discomfort in my right eye because it feels really dry to the extent that every time I blink my eye hurts. It then gets itchy because of the dryness and when I itch my eye it goes blurry… I don’t know what to do to cure my dry eye?

I have been wearing Air Optix Day and Night for over four years now, but recently when I put my new ones in my right eye burns all day. I removed it, let it soak in saline solution over night and when put it back in and the same thing has happened.
It will feel normal, then it starts off feeling like there is grit in my eye, stings and then starts to water, and causes sensitivity to light (this might happen every 45 minutes to one hour). Any ideas as to what could be causing this?

Many years ago my partner scratched the surface of his eye, and sometimes even now experiences pain in this where he scratched it. Mostly late at night and early mornings when most tired. What could this be and is it best to see an optician or a doctor?
